Alex was a competitive figure skater for over 15 years, during which time her own experiences with injury and rehabilitation (including as a patient at No Boundaries!) sparked an early interest in physiotherapy. While still skating, Alex worked as a certified Skate Canada coach, developing her skills in movement analysis and creating tailored training programs for individuals across all abilities - from young kids taking their first steps on the ice to competitive athletes and adults of all ages.

Alex deepened her understanding of the multi-dimensional nature of both pain and performance while pursuing a degree in Kinesiology with a focus in Rehabilitation Science from Western University. She then went on to earn her Master of Science in Physiotherapy at McMaster University, where she gained clinical experience in community orthopaedics, sport medicine, post-surgical physiotherapy, and inpatient rehabilitation. Alex has also completed Level 1 of the Advanced Integrated Musculoskeletal Program through the Canadian Physiotherapy Association’s Orthopaedic Division.

Alex’s treatment style integrates targeted exercise prescription, biomechanics training, and manual therapy. She is passionate about helping people better understand their bodies, take ownership of their recovery, and stay active for life in ways that are meaningful to them.
